The Labor Department’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs on May 13, 2024, submitted a formal request to the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to renew its contractor portal for three years. Since 2022, federal contractors and subcontractors have used the portal, an online tool, to certify their affirmative action programs (AAPs).
OFCCP announced in December 2023 that it wants to keep using the portal, and it proposed requiring contractors using it to enter the Unique Entity ID (UEI) for their parent company and each company establishment. In February 2024, the Center for Workplace Compliance (CWC), our affiliated nonprofit membership association, filed comments urging OFCCP to drop the UEI requirement. OFCCP’s formal request proposes allowing a contractor to enter any of its UEIs if it has more than one or a DUNS number if it does not have a UEI.
If OMB approves the three-year extension, OFCCP will be able to use the portal until 2027. CWC intends to comment on OFCCP’s formal request by the June 12 deadline and encourages interested members to contact Gabrielle Lattery (glattery@cwc.org) or Danny Petrella (dpetrella@cwc.org).
