We reported last week that the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has issued a new “Know Your Rights” poster to replace the familiar “EEO is the Law” poster that covered employers have used for many years to meet EEOC and Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) posting requirements.

As we predicted, the Labor Department’s OFCCP has now also announced that federal contractors “must” begin using the new Know Your Rights poster as a replacement for the EEO is the Law poster and poster supplement that contractors are required to display. Please note that while OFCCP will no longer require contractors to post the “EEO is the Law” supplement, the agency states that contractors still must post the so-called “Pay Transparency Nondiscrimination Provision” and include it in employee handbooks and manuals.
