The Labor Department’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) has announced that it intends to make some changes to its mandated and highly prescriptive disability self-identification form (Form CC-305) as part of a routine request to the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to continue using the form for another three years.

While the proposed changes are relatively minor, OFCCP is also asking for public input on ways it might be able to improve the disability self-ID process, which provides an opportunity for us to make recommendations for needed improvements to the CC-305 that would allow it to better achieve its intended purpose.

Pursuant to federal Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) procedures, OFCCP is required to solicit public comments on its extension request and the proposed changes to the CC-305 before sending a final version to OMB for approval.
