The Biden Administration has published its latest semi-annual regulatory agenda, a document required by statute that contains a list of each regulatory action federal agencies plan to take during the next 12 months, along with a time estimate by each agency as to when the action will be taken. As was the case with the agenda published last December that it supersedes, the new document is packed with a combination of initiatives designed both to reverse regulatory actions implemented during the Trump Administration and to implement new Biden Administration regulatory priorities. A close look at the agenda, however, reveals that while it is ambitious as was its predecessor, it has changed little since December’s version, aside from further pushing back implementation timelines.
