The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has officially opened the filing season for 2021 “Component 1” Employer Information (EEO-1) Reports, effective April 12, 2022. Completed reports must be filed by May 17, 2022. Upon logging into EEOC’s Filing System, returning users will be prompted to reset their password. Unlike past years, returning users will not need a special “Passcode” or PIN to log into the system, although this information will still be sent via U.S. mail for users not able to register through the online filing system.
The online EEO-1 Filer Support Center has been updated with new FAQs, Fact Sheets, and a User Guide. There is also a new Message Center for secure communications with the EEO-1 Filer Support Team. Importantly, all filing options are now available for organizations ready to file, and given the short time frame that the EEOC has provided for filing completed reports, employers are encouraged to begin the filing process as soon as possible.
