The White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has approved the Labor Department’s request to continue using the current version of the Federal Contractor Veterans’ Employment Report (VETS-4212) through the 2026 filing season. The VETS-4212 is a mandatory annual report that covered federal contractors must file with DOL’s Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (DOL-VETS). The VETS-4212 is designed to collect a snapshot profile of a contractor’s workforce by protected veteran status, location, and the job categories used in the Employer Information (EEO-1) Report. Under the federal Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA), DOL must receive periodic approval from OMB to continue using the VETS-4212. With the three-year extension, the VETS-4212 now has a new expiration date of June 30, 2027. Therefore, there are unlikely to be any changes to the VETS-4212 report or filing procedures for the 2024, 2025, and 2026 filing seasons.
