The Center for Workplace Compliance (CWC), our affiliated nonprofit membership association, has updated its Guide to Drafting an Effective EEOC Position Statement now that the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has transitioned to a digitized charge process.
Once the EEOC receives a discrimination charge, an agency investigator will ask the employer to submit a position statement. The employer is well advised to do so, even though such a statement is not required. CWC’s updated guide offers some best practices for preparing an effective EEOC position statement.
In addition, member companies that want more hands-on information can access CWC’s online training course called “Responding to Charges of Discrimination.” For more information, please go to CWC Online Learning.
